Whether eating a cheezburger with UGC propheteers Ben Huh and Scott Porad (www.icanhascheezburger.com), which I didn’t do, or quickly jotting down the note “Learn how to write” while listening to Peter Shankman (http://www.helpareporter.com), whose every uttered syllable comes at high velocity and with a high degree of interest, Mediabistro’s second UGCX was, for this Social Media enthusiast, a screaming success. The old guard was well-represented – Viacom and Time, Inc. – as well as notables like Jim Pickerell (www.jimpickerell.com) and Roger Evans (RogerEvansOnline.com).

Speakers gave time-managed accounts on everything from the power of the crowd and building community to social media strategies and using users who use your site to, well, use your site more. This excellent conference produced many epiphanies.
